Description:
Included Health is seeking a Sr Web/Fullstack Engineer for their Developer Platform team, which is part of the Infrastructure organization.
The mission of Included Health is to provide better and more affordable healthcare, aiming to create a seamless experience for members.
The role involves identifying pain points in frontend web development workflows and implementing solutions to enhance developer productivity and satisfaction.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining internal tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve frontend development efficiency across the company.
The engineer will define and advocate for best practices in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) specific to frontend development, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability.
The position requires championing performance monitoring, logging, and error-tracking best practices to enhance application reliability and maintainability.
The engineer will conduct workshops, create documentation, and mentor other engineers to promote the adoption of frontend best practices.
Researching emerging frontend technologies and guiding their adoption when beneficial is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have substantial experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs is required, including designing client-side data fetching patterns and optimizing API interactions.
A strong understanding of performance profiling, browser rendering behavior, and strategies for improving application speed and efficiency is essential.
Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working across team and organizational boundaries, collaborating closely with backend, infrastructure, product, and design teams.
The ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation and tutorials to drive the adoption of tools and best practices is required.
Experience in researching, evaluating, and advocating for new frontend technologies or tools to improve team productivity is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional development environment is required.
