Description:
The role is for several WordPress developers specializing in custom WordPress theme development.
Responsibilities include coding, designing, and maintaining various websites to create visually appealing sites with user-friendly design and clear navigation.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working on a variety of projects and collaborating with a team.
Key responsibilities include creating website architecture using the WordPress Dashboard, designing and building the front-end with standard HTML/CSS practices, and creating immersive user experiences with micro animations.
The developer will manage the back-end, including database and server integration, and integrate data from various services using REST-API.
The role involves generating custom WordPress themes and plugins, navigating the WPEngine dashboard, and monitoring live website performance using tools like Page Speed Insights and GTMetrix.
The developer will create and integrate quality assurance tests, collaborate with the development team, conduct WordPress training for clients, and stay updated on technology.
Regular meetings with the development team, project managers, and business stakeholders are expected, along with performing other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer using custom-built themes is required.
A minimum of 4+ years of experience working as a WordPress Developer is necessary.
Candidates should have worked on at least 5 websites, with links to sample works or a portfolio available upon request.
Expertise in CSS animations and a portfolio showcasing production websites with CSS animations is essential.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Knowledge of WordPress Template Hierarchy and basic SEO integration is necessary.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as SASS, CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, AlpineJS, and jQuery is required.
Backend development skills in WordPress, PHP, MySQL, API integrations, JSON, and XML are essential.
Familiarity with CSS Frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, or TailwindCSS is required.
Experience with GIT workflows and code versioning tools such as Git, Github, or Gitlab is necessary.
Proficiency in customizing WordPress development using ACF, Gutenberg, custom components, Yoast SEO, Gravity Forms, and custom plugins is required.
Basic knowledge of web apps for site maintenance, such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager, is necessary.
Candidates should be adept in using SEO tools like Figma, Sketch, Invision, GIT, WPEngine, Pardot, and HubSpot, along with various web compliance standards.
Experience with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug is required.
A strong understanding of website architecture and aesthetics is necessary.
Candidates should document and create user guides for various websites using an existing template/format.
Experience with Webflow is preferred.
The ability to manage projects, work in a team, communicate effectively, and maintain high attention to detail is essential.
A fully functional and up-to-date computer is required, along with a willingness to install next-generation endpoint protection.
Candidates must be willing to work in the US Pacific time zone (8:00am-5:00pm PST) corresponding to 12:00am-9:00am PH time.
Current residency in the Philippines and legal eligibility to work from there is required.
