Description:

The role involves understanding how systems interconnect and using various tools to solve problems.
Responsibilities include helping customers leverage observability benefits for microservice architecture, improving the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of customer environments, and working with CI/CD systems for infrastructure automation.
The position requires supporting multiple product families and designing modern tools for SRE and other teams.
Engagement with other engineering teams during discovery and delivery phases is essential, along with providing on-call product support.
Requirements:
Candidates should possess an Agile and Lean thinking mindset.
Experience with software engineering best practices applied to data, including automation, testing, contract definition, clean code, and CI/CD is required.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure, is necessary.
A strong background in infrastructure as code, CI/CD tooling, and configuration tools like Terraform for automation is essential.
Experience with monitoring and logging systems such as NewRelic, LogicMonitor, Papertrail, and Pingdom is required.
A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and comfort in writing code in at least one programming language is expected.
Candidates should have a software engineering background, preferably from a development or DevOps perspective, with at least 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS/Azure.
A good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and hands-on coding experience with Python 3 is necessary.
Exposure to application performance testing tools, preferably Locust, is a plus.
Candidates should be open to learning new tools and technologies on the job and possess leadership acumen.
