Description:

  • Empirical is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing Health-Tech company.
  • The role involves developing a next-generation platform for managing pharmacy benefits, providing real-time insights for cost savings and improved customer experience.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack features using JavaScript, React, GraphQL, and a compiled language (C, C++, Java, Go).
  • The engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure functional and technical feasibility, produce high-quality code, and provide scope and risk estimates for system builds.
  • The position requires troubleshooting production issues and leveraging AWS technologies for job handling and batch processing.
  • The engineer will also mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative learning culture through knowledge sharing and code reviews.

Requirements:

  • A BS or advanced degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 8+ years of experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree, in client-side and server-side applications.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and various frameworks is essential.
  • Experience in a compiled language (Go, C, C++, Java) and interpreted languages (Python, shell) is required.
  • Candidates must have experience implementing GraphQL APIs and proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with NoSQL and modern data interfaces is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable APIs and a solid understanding of design patterns and testing best practices is required.
  • Proven experience in software design, implementing reusable components, and working independently on features is essential.
  • Experience using Git, writing automated tests, and familiarity with CI/CD pipeline, Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes is required.
  • Candidates should have a strong understanding of web applications, SOA, and distributed systems architecture.
