Xepelin, founded in Chile in 2019, has raised over USD 145 million in equity and USD 300 million in asset-backed facilities to fuel growth in the region, particularly in Chile and Mexico.
They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (backend) for the LATAM region to join the Engineering team, responsible for pushing the long-term technical vision for critical platform components, designing systems and architecture impacting multiple teams, developing scalable and resilient services and systems, and setting technical standards and efficiency across Xepelin.
The role involves working in a challenging environment with opportunities to contribute to the product, collaborate with various teams, and mentor engineers for their technical career development.
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of total experience in software development.
Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript is required.
Experience working with AWS.
Expertise in designing scalable distributed services.
Relevant experience in developing high-quality services and systems.
Demonstrated experience in leading technically complex projects involving multiple engineering teams and platform-wide impact.
Proven track record of developing engineering best practices and improving development efficiency.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team with different skills, expertise levels, and contexts.
