Description:

Procurify is seeking a talented and team-driven Staff AI Engineer to lead their AI and ML initiatives.
This role involves building the machine learning and AI function from the ground up, focusing on automation in procurement workflows.
The engineer will develop autonomous agents using generative AI to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable machine learning systems, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) for advanced NLP features, and creating personalized user experiences.
The role requires collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to implement AI-driven product capabilities and to shape the vision for machine learning at Procurify.
The engineer will also mentor other engineers and identify internal process improvements to enhance data quality and delivery.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6-7+ years of experience in a Machine Learning or Data Scientist role, with at least 2 years focused on LLMs.
Proven experience as the first ML engineer or in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to build ML systems from scratch is essential.
Experience in developing AI applications in production is required.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with LLMs like GPT and a strong understanding of related architectures and tools.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, Data Lakehouse technologies, and advanced SQL knowledge is required.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with additional languages and tools used in ML engineering are essential.
Candidates should be comfortable leading by example and driving collaboration across teams.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex technical problems is crucial.
Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps principles, as well as software development best practices, is required.
A strong drive to stay updated with GenAI research and apply insights to real-world applications is necessary.
