Description:

Procurify is seeking a talented and team-driven Staff AI Engineer to lead their AI and ML initiatives.
This role involves building the machine learning and AI function from the ground up, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
The Staff AI Engineer will develop solutions to automate procurement workflows and work with data engineers to enhance automation with AI.
Responsibilities include developing autonomous agents using generative AI, designing scalable machine learning systems, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) for advanced NLP features, and building reusable architectures for services.
The engineer will also enhance user experiences through personalized AI solutions, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and mentor other engineers.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) will measure user adoption, model performance, architectural documentation, user engagement, and team skill development.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 6-7+ years of experience in a Machine Learning or Data Scientist role, with at least 2 years focused on LLMs.
Proven experience as the first ML engineer or in a similar role is required, demonstrating the ability to build ML systems from scratch.
Experience in developing AI applications in production is essential.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with LLMs like GPT and a strong understanding of LLM architectures and tools.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, Data Lakehouse technologies, and advanced SQL knowledge is required.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with additional languages and tools used in ML engineering are necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable leading by example and driving collaboration across teams.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex technical problems is essential.
Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps principles, as well as software development best practices, is required.
A strong drive to stay updated with GenAI research and apply insights to real-world applications is expected.
