Description:
Ironclad is seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer with a passion for securing modern software platforms and protecting sensitive data.
The role involves conducting security assessments, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing security best practices across Ironclad’s Product, Platform, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities include developing secure coding practices, conducting application security assessments, performing security reviews of code changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
The engineer will integrate security review processes into Ironclad’s CI/CD pipeline, conduct threat modeling, and provide expertise on protective controls.
The position requires staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and providing technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
Requirements:
A BA/BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in application security or software development, preferably in SaaS companies or regulated fields.
In-depth knowledge of application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25, is essential.
Experience with SAST and SCA tools such as Snyk, Checkmarx, Veracode, WhiteSource, or Black Duck is required.
Familiarity with security testing tools like Burp Suite, AppScan, and Nessus is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS standards and frameworks.
Experience operating in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Digital Ocean, etc.) is required.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and respond to escalations.
A strong desire to take ownership of problems and comfort in a rapidly evolving environment is necessary.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000, with additional equity awards and competitive health and wellness benefits.
