Description:

  • Ironclad is seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer with a passion for securing modern software platforms and protecting sensitive data.
  • The role involves conducting security assessments, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing security best practices across Ironclad’s Product, Platform, and Engineering teams.
  • Responsibilities include developing secure coding practices, conducting application security assessments, performing security reviews of code changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
  • The engineer will integrate security review processes into Ironclad’s CI/CD pipeline, conduct threat modeling, and provide expertise on protective controls.
  • The position requires staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and providing technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in application security or software development, preferably in SaaS companies or regulated fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25, is essential.
  • Experience with SAST and SCA tools such as Snyk, Checkmarx, Veracode, WhiteSource, or Black Duck is required.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools like Burp Suite, AppScan, and Nessus is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS standards and frameworks.
  • Experience operating in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Digital Ocean, etc.) is required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and respond to escalations.
  • A strong desire to take ownership of problems and comfort in a rapidly evolving environment is necessary.
