The Staff AV Software Systems Engineer will be part of the Autonomous Vehicle Systems Engineering team, acting as a technical liaison between various departments including Product, Program, Legal, Engineering, and Test.
Responsibilities include defining requirements, metrics, and simulation testing for safe Autonomous Vehicle operations, analyzing driving behaviors, applying risk management tools, and leading data analyses and safety analysis.
The engineer will develop methods to analyze software changes, own roadmaps for requirements and solutions, and mentor team members.

Requirements:

A BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, or related fields.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and C++ or similar languages is necessary for analyzing large data sets.
Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills are essential for interpreting data and conducting impactful analyses.
Candidates should be fluent in data-based engineering problem-solving practices and proficient in statistics and probability.
The ability to understand complex technical systems and adapt under ambiguity is required.
Strong technical and non-technical communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
