Seeking a Staff Back-End Engineer to play a crucial role in expanding the Engineering team and scaling the platform.
Responsibilities include leading architectural discussions, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering a culture of quality.
Utilize tools like Kotlin, Postgres, Kafka, ECS, Kubernetes, AWS, CDK, and React in the development process.
Ideal candidate should have 5+ years of production environment experience, exposure to event-driven services, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and a track record of technical excellence.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in developing for a Production environment.
Exposure to real-time event-driven services.
Strong system design experience.
Understanding of deploying infrastructure in the cloud, preferably AWS.
Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities decisively with business context in mind.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and resolving ambiguity within the team.
Track record of delivering resilient systems behind consumer products.
Desirable: experience with event-driven architecture, high-load distributed systems, JVM, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and startup environments.
