Description:
Webflow is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for the Access Control team, responsible for building and maintaining the Roles & Permissions framework for the webflow.com application.
The role is remote-first, available to candidates in the United States and parts of Canada, and is a full-time, permanent, exempt position.
The cash compensation is based on geographic location, experience, and skills, with specific pay zones outlined for the U.S. and Canada.

The engineer will write and update scalable software using modern stacks such as node.js, MongoDB, and AWS, primarily coding in TypeScript.
The role involves building and maintaining unit and integration tests, solving technical problems, improving development processes, and mentoring other engineers.

A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments is required.

Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to communicate trade-offs throughout a project to meet technical and business requirements are essential.
Experience in high-visibility work and presenting to executive counterparts is preferred.
A passion for encouraging and developing other engineers is important.
