Description:

  • The Staff Backend Engineer, Commerce position at Linktree is for individuals who excel at problem-solving, enjoy collaborating with various team members, and prioritize well-written and tested code.
  • As a member of the Commerce team, you will work on developing a social commerce product for Linktree from scratch, giving you the opportunity to shape and build the product.
  • Responsibilities include building products to support Linkers in earning a living, making technical decisions to achieve desired outcomes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop core commerce experiences, and enhancing operational efficiency through infrastructure improvements.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience leading product teams in early product development, possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with at least 8 years of Software Engineering experience, and have expertise in building modern backend services using technologies like Typescript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.
  • Additional experience with AWS, PHP, Snowflake, e-commerce platforms, and payment facilitator services like Stripe and Paypal is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Experience leading product teams in early product development.
  • Proficiency in building modern backend services using Typescript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, PHP, Snowflake, e-commerce platforms, and payment facilitator services like Stripe and Paypal.
