The role of Staff Backend Engineer (Core Services) involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
The Core Services team focuses on building abstractions for problems such as Identity & Access Management, Eventing service, Communication Service, and Location Service.
The ideal candidate will work with diverse, cross-functional teams and will have the opportunity to create a significant impact on the future evolution of Honor’s Care Platform.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 6 years of professional experience within a product-centric company.
Experience in designing and implementing large, complex projects is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working with and refactoring legacy, monolithic code.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience in building and maintaining production-grade features in Python or transferable experience in languages like Node.js is necessary, with a willingness to learn Python.
Candidates should have experience building distributed systems and cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
A focus on leading through influence, empathy for customers, and a commitment to building impactful solutions is required.
Experience in defining, instrumenting, and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability is important.
