Description:
ClickUp is seeking a driven staff software engineer to join their Docs team.
The role involves designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers for new features.
The engineer will write efficient SQL queries for app usage, reporting data metrics, and managing data integrity.
Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues within the infrastructure is essential.
Participation in designing and building systems for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability is required.
The position involves close collaboration with frontend, quality assurance, and product teams.
The engineer should be able to conceptualize the various parts of the infrastructure and their interactions.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining APIs in a production-level environment, preferably with Node.js.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, is necessary.
Experience with AWS or another cloud service is required.
A strong self-starter with an operational focus and problem-solving skills is essential.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
Desirable qualifications include experience with large scale processing and designing real-time collaboration systems.
