Remote Staff Backend Engineer, Docs

Description:

• ClickUp is seeking a driven staff software engineer to join their Docs team.
• The role involves designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams.
• Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers for new features.
• The engineer will write efficient SQL queries for app usage, reporting data metrics, and managing data integrity.
• Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues within the infrastructure is essential.
• Participation in designing and building systems for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability is required.
• The position involves close collaboration with frontend, quality assurance, and product teams.
• The engineer should be able to conceptualize the various parts of the infrastructure and their interactions.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining APIs in a production-level environment, preferably with Node.js.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, is necessary.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud service is required.
• A strong self-starter with an operational focus and problem-solving skills is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
• Desirable qualifications include experience with large scale processing and designing real-time collaboration systems.
