Description:
Webflow is a visual web development platform that allows non-coders to create web experiences.
The Enterprise Workflows team builds and maintains collaboration features for larger teams.
The Staff Backend Engineer will ensure teams can build and launch sites quickly without sacrificing quality or security.
Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing scalable multi-tenant backend services and APIs.
The role involves working with technologies such as Node.js, Javascript/Typescript, MongoDB, GraphQL, Apollo, AWS, and Kafka.
The engineer will lead projects, produce high-quality code, and mentor junior engineers.
Collaboration with product managers and designers in a supportive team environment is essential.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications.
Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with the ability to write scalable services and APIs using Express.js and MongoDB.
Experience in leading and mentoring other software engineers is necessary.
Candidates should be able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Proven experience in building complex web systems is essential.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress is required.
Comfort in working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment is expected.
