Grafana is a successful open-source project with over a million instances running globally.
The company is expanding its Cloud / Grafana-as-a-service business and is refactoring Grafana's core architecture to be fully multi-tenant and scalable.
The goal is to create a proper observability app platform that integrates OSS and proprietary apps with dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry.
The position requires someone experienced with SaaS platforms at scale, who is excited about planning and rolling out changes safely to avoid service disruptions.
Daily responsibilities include coding new features, enhancing operational experiences, authoring and reviewing design documents, shaping the roadmap, mentoring team members, and participating in on-call rotations.

Candidates must have strong coding skills and operational experience, having been responsible for the software they built.
Experience with SaaS platforms and common distributed systems problems such as scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability is required.
Excellent communication skills are necessary, with the ability to express ideas clearly in writing and during meetings.
Willingness to work across teams and align work with the needs of other squads and external stakeholders is essential.
Candidates should be pragmatic, prioritizing progress over perfection and able to handle ambiguity.
Familiarity with Golang is preferred, or candidates should be excited to learn the language.

The base compensation range for this role in Spain is EUR 91,286 - EUR 109,544, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset.
