Nango is building an open-source platform to power product integrations, designed for developers to connect B2B software seamlessly.
The company is looking for a staff backend engineer to significantly impact other developers' lives by shaping the future of product integrations.
The role involves working closely with founders, early engineers, and customers in a well-funded, high-velocity, seed-stage startup environment.

The mission emphasizes the critical need for seamless connectivity between software tools to prevent data silos and improve efficiency, especially with the increasing demand for robust product integrations due to advancements in AI.
The position is remote, available to candidates in the Americas or Europe, with core working hours from 8 AM to 12 PM EST (1 PM to 5 PM GMT).
Responsibilities include developing the open-source platform, designing scalable backend systems, collaborating with B2B SaaS engineering teams, optimizing backend services, shaping product strategy, maintaining the open-source repository, driving engineering best practices, and gaining hands-on experience in building a dev-tool startup.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
Proficiency in Node.js is required.
A strong work ethic and sense of ownership are essential.
Great organizational skills are needed to track and fulfill customer requests.
Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members in a remote setting.
A product mindset and developer empathy are important, with a focus on optimizing Developer Experience (DX).
Ability to write high-quality code that is readable, structured, documented, reliable, and performant is required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
Experience in a startup, dev tool, or US and/or remote companies is preferred.
