Remote Staff Cloud Engineer

Description:

• The company is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to contribute to changing the way businesses operate and be part of a high-growth team.
• The role involves working on next-generation cloud and applications utilizing AWS, Kafka, DevOps, containers, AI, and ML technologies.
• Responsibilities include guiding technical decisions, leading platform architecture and design, mentoring developers, prototyping concepts, and staying updated on cloud trends.
• The position requires automating tasks, managing Infrastructure as Code, supporting software releases, and enabling teams to self-manage effectively.

Requirements:

• Must have a passion for continuous learning and Cloud development.
• A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Need at least 4 years of experience with Cloud technologies and languages like Javascript, Typescript, Python, Kotlin, Java, and Node.js.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS, and DocumentDB is essential.
• Experience in building event-driven architectures at high scale using Kafka is necessary.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform & Cloudformation is a must.
• Should have expertise in high availability deployment across multiple regions and availability zones.
• Deep understanding of observability tools like SumoLogic, DataDog, CloudWatch, or similar is required.
• Strong experience with Git, Github, Pull Request, and Rebasing is necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative development environment is essential.
• Must be capable of leading and defining cloud initiatives with other engineers.
• Experience with establishing best practices in Cloud codebases, building reusable libraries, and managing Https web services using REST is required.
