Remote Staff Cloud Network Engineer - Federal

Description:

• The Staff Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructures across multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• The role involves leveraging cloud networking expertise to optimize network traffic and ensure efficient communication between cloud resources.
• The engineer will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab to automate network infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring network devices (Panorama, Palo Alto, ISE, Fortinet, F5) in bare-metal environments is required.
• Implementing robust security measures to protect networks from unauthorized access, intrusion, and data breaches is a key aspect of the role.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, security) is essential to deliver end-to-end network solutions meeting customer needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in networking including routing, switching, security, and load balancing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in working on Internet and data center networks.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex network architectures in cloud environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts and technologies.
• Proficiency in using Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Deep understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with Federal customers is a plus.
