The role of Staff Cloud Security Engineer involves designing, implementing, and managing the security of cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include working with engineering, IT, and compliance teams to identify risks and develop solutions.
Key tasks include designing secure cloud environments using AWS, developing security policies, creating Terraform modules, performing security audits, and collaborating with development teams.
The engineer will also implement endpoint security solutions, monitor cloud environments for threats, and stay updated on security technologies and regulatory requirements.
Mentorship and guidance to Staff Engineers on cloud security practices is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience in cloud security engineering or related roles, particularly with AWS.
Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices is required.
Strong knowledge of IAM policies, roles, and permission models in cloud environments is essential.
Experience with endpoint security tools and strategies is necessary.
A proven track record of implementing security best practices in cloud environments is required.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and/or HIPAA is important.
Strong scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Typescript are needed.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
