Description:
The Strategic Partnerships team at Varo accelerates the growth and innovation of the bank's products through new business, marketplace, and distribution opportunities via partnerships.
The Staff Data Analyst will evaluate key partnerships that provide value to customers across various complementary products and services to advance Varo's social impact.
This role involves owning the analytics and execution strategy for the Partnerships team, including measuring the performance of partnership initiatives, marketing campaigns, and the impact of partnerships across other departments such as fraud, servicing, and product marketing.
The analyst will manage all aspects of partnership data, including revenue and conversion data, by collaborating with data engineering to ingest data, pull data from various third-party platforms, and build internal dashboards.
Responsibilities include measuring and monitoring performance-related metrics (e.g., customer engagement, revenue growth) to generate insights and optimization strategies to improve partnership impact.
The analyst will provide detailed and continuous revenue forecasting with some support from Finance.
Developing business cases for future partnerships and initiatives that combine both internal and external data sets and product requirements is also a key responsibility.
The role requires developing and assessing various testing strategies to increase email marketing efficiency, including new LCM flows for partnership emails, content updates, and targeting strategies.
The analyst will become an expert in key metrics, conducting detailed analyses that result in actionable insights to enhance customer experience.
Ongoing and ad-hoc analyses will be run in support of Partnership objectives as well as operational effectiveness and incident response.
Summarizing analytical findings clearly and concisely in various presentation formats for the Executive Team using a methodical and data-driven approach is essential.
Understanding customer impact of business terms and/or product changes and supporting the team with various operational needs, including ensuring correct tracking links are used and invoicing reconciliation, is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of related experience in management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, data science, or corporate strategy.
Strong experience with data analysis, modeling, SQL, and presentations is required.
The ability to write and maintain queries that operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources is essential.
Experience in extracting, sampling, and visualizing large data sets is necessary.
Candidates should have experience delivering production-level metrics, insights, and actions.
Data visualization experience with tools such as Tableau, Looker, or other BI tools is required.
Previous project management experience and process optimization with data analytics is necessary.
Coding knowledge in SQL, Python, or equivalent languages (SAS, R) is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience is mandatory.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 per year, based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies.
Final offer amounts will be determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the identified range.
