Remote Staff Data Analyst (Remote, US)

Description:

• Renew Home is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to join the Product Analytics team in a remote position.
• The role involves leading cross-functional initiatives with various teams to define and implement measurement and analysis for VPP performance.
• The analyst will proactively identify and interpret complex data to uncover insights and propose strategies for improvement.
• Responsibilities include synthesizing large datasets, building data models in DBT, defining and monitoring KPIs, designing data visualizations, and performing statistical analysis.
• The position requires a curious and passionate individual who will contribute to the team by advocating for best practices and mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7-10+ years of analytics industry experience.
• Experience in the energy industry is required, with knowledge of electricity markets and meter data.
• Fluency in SQL and extensive experience with columnar databases such as Redshift or BigQuery is necessary.
• A strong foundation in statistics, including inference, simulation, and optimization, is essential.
• Proven ability to apply software engineering fundamentals to develop efficient and maintainable code is required.
• Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bonus qualifications include experience building data pipelines in Python with DBT and Prefect/Airflow, familiarity with the AWS cloud ecosystem, and experience with AI/ML tools/frameworks.
