H1 is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the H1DN Team, working remotely in the US.
The mission of H1 is to provide a platform that optimally informs doctor interactions globally, promoting health equity and trust in healthcare systems.
The Data Engineering team is responsible for developing and delivering data from thousands of sources to create a comprehensive knowledge base of healthcare stakeholders.
The Staff Data Engineer will lead the development of scalable and efficient data architectures, focusing on data ingestion and enrichment workflows.
Responsibilities include leading the development of new features for the client data ingestion platform, optimizing infrastructure for efficient insights delivery, and collaborating with clients and product teams.
The role involves establishing best practices for data quality and system reliability, mentoring engineers, and advocating for engineering improvements.
The engineer will ensure projects deliver clear end-user impact and align with strategic goals.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering, specializing in scalable data pipelines and enrichment processes.
Proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL is required for building scalable data processing pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment is necessary.
A strong background in AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, and RDS is essential for data infrastructure.
Strong SQL skills are required, including the ability to write optimized complex queries for large datasets.
Experience with EMR and Databricks to optimize large-scale data workflows is needed.
Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of optimizing LLM usage in production and experience integrating LLMs into real-world applications.
