The Staff Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data strategy, architecture, and infrastructure.
This position requires technical leadership, data infrastructure development, data management and modeling, cloud expertise, observability and monitoring, and innovation and strategy.
The engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures and pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
Responsibilities include building and managing data warehouses, designing data models, implementing cloud-native solutions, and maintaining observability platforms.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field.
Expertise in modern data tools and platforms, including Snowflake, Fivetran, and Dagster, is required.
Strong proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS RDS is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services and proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Pulumi) and Kubernetes is essential.
Extensive experience in data modeling, schema design, and database optimization is expected.
Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus is important.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data engineering tasks and C# or Ruby for application development is required.
Bonus qualifications include experience with Azure or GCP, knowledge of distributed systems, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and experience leading small to medium-sized development teams.

The starting salary for this position is targeted at $190,000, with flexibility based on candidate qualifications.
