  • The Staff Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data strategy, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • This position requires technical leadership, data infrastructure development, data management and modeling, cloud expertise, observability and monitoring, and innovation and strategy.
  • The engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures and pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Responsibilities include building and managing data warehouses, designing data models, implementing cloud-native solutions, and maintaining observability platforms.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Expertise in modern data tools and platforms, including Snowflake, Fivetran, and Dagster, is required.
  • Strong proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS RDS is necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services and proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Pulumi) and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Extensive experience in data modeling, schema design, and database optimization is expected.
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus is important.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data engineering tasks and C# or Ruby for application development is required.
  • Bonus qualifications include experience with Azure or GCP, knowledge of distributed systems, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and experience leading small to medium-sized development teams.
