Description:

The Staff Data Engineer will architect and scale the next generation of real-time, AI-powered data infrastructure.
This role involves designing and building systems that support advanced machine learning, regulatory insights, and global supplier intelligence.
Responsibilities include taking full ownership of end-to-end data architecture and driving innovation at the intersection of cloud, big data, and AI.
Key tasks include designing and maintaining high-throughput data pipelines, collaborating with ML engineers, creating reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, driving data quality and governance, optimizing for performance, mentoring across engineering teams, and collaborating globally with distributed teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development, focusing on highly scalable data systems.
Experience in a B2B SaaS/AI company, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment, is required.
A proven track record of designing and scaling cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is essential.
Deep expertise in tools like Databricks or equivalent is necessary.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience in data modeling and architecture patterns, is required.
A strong understanding of real-time and batch processing, event-driven systems, and data lakehouse principles is needed.
Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines and collaborating with data science teams is important.
Exceptional English-speaking and writing communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly.
Experience working with global teams across US and India time zones is necessary, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration.
