Remote Staff Data Engineer

Description:

• The Staff Data Engineer position at Sojern involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to deliver high-quality data to the data warehouse and other analytics platforms.
• Responsibilities include developing scalable data pipelines using ETL processes, writing complex SQL queries, and creating Python scripts for data manipulation and automation.
• The role also entails designing data models, monitoring data pipelines for quality and accuracy, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, and staying updated on data engineering tools and technologies.
• The Staff Data Engineer will participate in Agile development lifecycle activities and mentor developers to ensure project progress.

Requirements:

• Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines is essential for the role.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL is required.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including knowledge of libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, are necessary.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows is a must.
• Nice to have skills include experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and AdTech knowledge.
