Remote Staff Data Engineer

Description:

• HackerOne is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the discovery, architecture, and development of high-performance, scalable data products and solutions.
• The role involves building the foundation that powers HackerOne's one source of truth.
• The Staff Data Engineer will have the autonomy to lead challenging projects and foster collaboration across the company.
• The position requires leveraging extensive technological expertise, domain knowledge, and dedication to business objectives to drive innovation.
• The first 30 days will focus on onboarding, learning the technology stack, and meeting team members.
• Within 60 days, the engineer is expected to deliver high-quality, high-impact code.
• By 90 days, the engineer will drive continuous evolution and innovation of data at HackerOne and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
• Responsibilities include managing complex design processes, driving innovation within the DataOne codebase, providing technical leadership, and delegating tasks effectively.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience developing data frameworks, preferably using Python.
• At least 8 years of experience using SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong programming skills, knowledge of algorithms, and data structures are required.
• Extensive experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions is necessary.
• Familiarity with various data technologies and tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, AWS, and Looker is essential.
• A proven track record of having a substantial impact across the company is required.
• Candidates must be able to work and excel in a remote environment.
