Description:

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable, and well-documented data pipelines within the Reporting and Data Science team at ABOUT YOU.
  • Responsible for overseeing the migration of data infrastructure from legacy systems to a new platform, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain a platform and framework to serve as the technical foundation for other data teams.
  • Establish and enforce data engineering standards, and share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data infrastructure, identifying and implementing enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a MINT-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, with a focus on Python development.
  • Deep expertise in data orchestration and processing tools like Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Dataflow, or Metaflow.
  • Advanced SQL skills for big data environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Strong software engineering background and experience with queuing and messaging systems.
  • Leadership and communication skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive projects independently and manage cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of BigQuery, CI/CD tools, and containerization technologies like Docker.
