Description:
Jobgether is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to work remotely in the United States.
This role involves shaping data infrastructure for an innovative AI-driven healthcare product.
The Staff Data Engineer will design and manage scalable, high-performance data systems for next-generation diagnostic technologies.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining a robust cloud-based infrastructure to ingest, transform, and deliver large volumes of complex sensor and medical data.
The position requires collaboration with scientists, machine learning engineers, and medical professionals to enable advanced model development and contribute to healthcare breakthroughs.
Key accountabilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines using AWS, automating data ingestion and transformation workflows, overseeing core data infrastructure for batch processing, and developing systems for managing large multichannel datasets.
The role also involves creating automated reporting and ML workflows, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring adherence to data privacy and security standards.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with strong exposure to data operations.
Proven expertise in AWS services, including S3, and experience with large-scale cloud-based datasets is necessary.
Advanced skills in Python, Spark, Hadoop, or Scala, along with strong SQL proficiency, are required.
Experience in designing automated, scalable data pipelines and batch processing systems is essential.
Familiarity with MLOps tools and time-series or sensor data is a plus.
A strong ownership mindset and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment are important.
Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
