Description:
Qventus is seeking a Staff Data Platform Engineer to lead the development of advanced Gen AI-based solutions.
The role involves straddling software engineering, data platform pipeline & architecture, and data science.
Responsibilities include developing a cohesive data architecture within the AI operational assistant platform and ensuring alignment with the broader data platform vision.
The engineer will collaborate with stakeholders across data, AI, product, and leadership teams to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
The position requires translating product vision into functional data pipelines and handling ambiguous requirements independently.
The engineer will design, implement, and lead the development of scalable and efficient batch and streaming pipelines.
The role is remote and offers the opportunity to impact patient care and healthcare quality.
Requirements:
Excellent cross-functional communication skills are required to break down complex technical components and drive decision-making.
Mastery in quality data modeling and data pipeline design, development, and optimization on both batch and streaming systems is essential.
Practical hands-on experience with data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Spark, and the AWS ecosystem is necessary.
Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architecture, including AWS Lambda, Fargate, and Kafka, is required.
A strong foundation in software development with a focus on high code quality and maintainability is needed.
Familiarity with MLOps, LLMOps, and the lifecycle of AI/ML model development is important, along with hands-on experience working with Data Scientists.
It is a plus to have experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, understanding agentic workflows, and experience with healthcare data.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience is preferred.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role is between $170,000 to $220,000, based on various factors including location and experience.
