Remote Staff Data Scientist, DataOne

Description:

• HackerOne is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for Product, DataOne to build and optimize data products and solutions.
• The role involves collaborating with Product as a trusted strategic partner to uncover new ways to improve products and drive growth.
• Responsibilities include defining, implementing, and operationalizing new feature, product, and company metrics from scratch, as well as forecasting and setting targets to drive accountability.
• The Staff Data Scientist will be a cross-functional force multiplier, autonomously determining focus areas and contributing at all levels to design solutions for ambiguous business challenges.
• The position requires leveraging extensive technological expertise and domain knowledge to drive innovation and propel HackerOne forward.
• The first 30 days will focus on onboarding and learning the technology stack, while within 60 days, the individual will deliver impact across DataOne and Product.
• By 90 days, the Staff Data Scientist will lead new initiatives and foster cross-departmental collaboration to enhance efforts.
• After 90 days, the role includes continuous contribution to building and optimizing data products, driving innovation, and providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar quantitative role with a proven track record of collaborating with Product.
• At least 8 years of experience in building and optimizing data products and solutions.
• Extensive experience in defining, implementing, and operationalizing new metrics from scratch, as well as forecasting and setting targets.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation.
• Proficiency in creating compelling data stories using data visualization tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, or PowerBI.
• A demonstrated ability to drive positive change and achieve significant results across data and product organizations.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, as HackerOne is a digital-first company.
