Honor is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their team remotely.
The role involves developing statistical and machine learning models to enhance the operations platform and improve client services.
Data scientists will leverage data to solve meaningful problems and collaborate with a diverse team across engineering, product management, and care operations.
Responsibilities include researching operational/logistical problems, leading the design and implementation of models, integrating machine learning into applications, and mentoring teammates throughout project lifecycles.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong mathematical and statistical fundamentals, and a degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
Candidates should have over 5 years of industry experience and be proficient in Python and numerical software packages like NumPy and scikit-learn.
Requirements:

A degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Physics, or equivalent professional experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience solving complex business problems and maintaining Python in a production environment is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to rapidly iterate and deliver technical solutions that maximize business impact.
Expertise with numerical software packages such as NumPy and scikit-learn is essential.
Candidates must be able to manage product ambiguity and seek clarity when needed.
Accountability for projects from planning to monitoring is required, with the ability to identify and address potential issues early.
