Description:
The Staff Data Scientist will join the Safety Enforcement Data Science team at Reddit, focusing on identifying trends in platform activity related to spam and other policy violations.
Responsibilities include partnering with leaders to enhance enforcement strategies, leading abuse detection efforts, providing guidance to Product and Engineering teams, mentoring team members, and staying updated on emerging trends in abuse detection.
The role involves exposure to sensitive content and on-call incident response.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in quantitative or data science roles related to safety or enforcement engineering.
A Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or related fields is required.
Proficiency in analyzing complex behavior networks or large-scale content patterns, statistical analysis, programming languages (e.g., Python), and querying relational databases (e.g., SQL) is necessary.
Strong technical communication skills, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and experience with enforcement pipeline development and spam mitigation are preferred.
