Dispel is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to join a team of approximately 20 engineers.
The position is full-time and fully remote (U.S. only), with the option to use the office in Brooklyn, New York City.
The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality solutions in a professional and creative work environment.
The engineering team values contributions and aims to create a rewarding and fun journey for all members.
The technology stack includes Terraform, Docker, AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, etc.), Azure, Python, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Shell, and Windmill.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience shipping production-ready software.
Self-reliance in DevOps, Infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, automation, and redundancy methodologies and techniques is required.
Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Professional experience with containers, AWS, AWS Well Architected Framework, and Terraform is necessary.
Experience in delivering web applications to production reliably is required.
Candidates should have experience guiding teams through the software development lifecycle from local development to production.
Experience in crafting logging, metrics, and alerting systems that deliver value to teams is essential.
Strong communication skills to convey complex technical topics clearly and succinctly in-person, through written documentation, and over team chat are required.
Bonus qualifications include SysAdmin experience and relevant certifications.
A willingness to accept failure and feedback, learn, and try again is important.
A passion for learning new disciplines and understanding team members' work is desired.

The U.S. pay range for this position is between $149,000 and $188,000 per year, with an expected Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) between $13,000 and $16,500 per year, including bonuses or commissions.
