The Engineering Team at Lilt works on a high-performance, large-scale language translation system, prioritizing usability and backend AI systems.
The Staff DevOps Engineer will build highly reliable software systems, focusing on infrastructure and operations needs, including bare-metal Linux deployments and commercial deployments in GCP and AWS.
The role involves improving multi-region configurations for low latency and collaborating with the engineering team to support new and ongoing products.
The position is fully remote, and work authorization in the area is required.
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar position is required.
Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash, is necessary.
High proficiency with at least one configuration management/infrastructure as code (IaC) tool, preferably Terraform, is essential.
Experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, shared VPC, and data analytics, or equivalents from other vendors is required.
A solid understanding of Docker and hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes or Swarm is necessary.
Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and maintaining high production availability is required.
Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts, such as Jenkins, is necessary.
Experience in DevSecOps best practices, MLOps, GCP Landzone, and/or database administration is preferred but not required.
