As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will lead the DevOps team and drive strategic initiatives to optimize and evolve AWS infrastructure.
You will oversee the implementation of best practices and ensure the smooth operation of cloud environments.
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of AWS and DevOps principles.
Key responsibilities include setting clear goals, developing and executing DevOps strategies, designing AWS architectures, championing automation, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, implementing monitoring solutions, enforcing security best practices, overseeing incident response, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining documentation.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, are preferred.
Advanced knowledge of AWS services and extensive hands-on experience with AWS tools and best practices are necessary.
Extensive experience with CI/CD and proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi or Terraform is required.
In-depth experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, Buildkite, or similar Kubernetes-native tools is essential.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell are needed.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus is required.
A strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments is necessary.
Proven track record of leading and developing teams, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex issues are required.
