Description:
The Staff DevOps Engineer position at Magnet Forensics involves working on the next generation of digital forensics products to enhance collaboration among various stakeholders in the agency organization.
Responsibilities include delivering the SaaS REVIEW solution, driving best practices related to CI/CD, scaling, optimization, and security.
The role requires identifying and advocating for improvements across processes, tools, and architecture, guiding the team's roadmap, analyzing requirements, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, fixing defects, building strong teams, and effective communication.
The position also involves guiding best practices for building, delivering, and maintaining multiple source code projects, sharing knowledge across the organization, providing mentorship, supporting compliance efforts, and participating in support calls with customers and professional services teams.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience with Python and/or Go.
5+ years of experience patching Linux systems and containers.
3+ years of experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, using Git-based version control systems, build tools like Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps, networking design, protocols, and security.
Proficiency working with an Infrastructure-as-Code first mindset (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts).
Experience working with Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Benefits:
The compensation range for the position is between $131,200 - $196,800 CAD.
