The role of Staff Engineer (AI - Data Science) involves leading Generative AI initiatives and overseeing multiple AI teams.
Responsibilities include building robust AI solutions, scaling AI-driven products, and focusing on people management and team development.
Specific focus areas include Conversations AI, Workflows AI, Voice AI, Support AI, and Platform AI, each with distinct objectives such as developing AI solutions for appointment booking and enhancing customer support systems.
The position requires mentoring engineering managers and senior engineers, leading performance evaluations, and ensuring high team performance.
The role also involves long-term project planning, driving process improvements, and overseeing the development of AI-driven products.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define product strategy and business goals for AI technologies is essential.

Requirements:

Proven experience in leading large-scale AI-driven projects and teams is required.
Expertise in large-scale conversational agents and response evaluation frameworks is necessary.
A deep understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), including knowledge graphs, chunking, and reranking strategies is essential.
Extensive experience with Node.js is required.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory.
Candidates must have 5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in leadership or management roles.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
