Description:

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for building ingestion connectors/adapters for data platforms on the Atlan Marketplace.
They will focus on understanding and building source-specific packages for crawling, mining, and migrating metadata from various data sources.
The role involves ensuring the robustness and efficiency of solutions in large-scale environments and building connectors with a security and deployment focus for enterprise customers.
Collaborating with field teams to support customers and partners during onboarding as a technical subject matter expert.
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers working on these packages.
Deploying and maintaining packages on the Atlan Metadata Marketplace.
Driving innovation to enhance developer productivity for users and developers of Atlan.
Designing a system for integrating metadata in enterprise, on-premises secure systems.
Simplifying and enhancing online capabilities for internal developers.

Requirements:

Must have backend development experience as an individual contributor with high ownership.
Proven track record in building and deploying data pipelines.
Experience leading customer and partner calls as a technical subject matter expert.
Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Hands-on experience with Argo workflows or similar orchestrators, along with proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Golang, or Kotlin.
Experience in building data products, preferably SaaS.
Previous experience working with and building software for enterprise customers.
