Description:
Homebound is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer or Staff Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team.
This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in technical leadership and transitioning into a managerial role.
The position involves shaping the technical direction of projects, leading a team of engineers, and taking on management responsibilities.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and GraphQL is essential for this role.
Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving architectural decisions, leading code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The engineer will design, develop, and maintain complex front-end applications, integrate backend services, and ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
The role also includes project management responsibilities, such as owning the development lifecycle of key projects, estimating timelines, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Opportunities for management development are available, including team management and project leadership training.

Requirements:
Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Proficiency in TypeScript, with a deep understanding of its advanced features and best practices.
Extensive experience in building complex front-end applications using React.
Strong understanding of modern web development practices, including state management and responsive design.
Hands-on experience with GraphQL, including designing and implementing efficient APIs.
Familiarity with tools like Apollo Client or Relay for integrating GraphQL into React applications.
Experience with Agile methodologies, version control systems like Git, and testing frameworks.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
At least 7 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership role.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with backend technologies, AWS, containerization, UI/UX principles, and developing consumer-facing applications.
