Description:
Pryon is seeking a Staff Engineer, Infrastructure (DevOps Architect) to join their Engineering team focused on platform architecture, CI/CD, and observability infrastructure.
The role involves owning the technical architecture and implementation of cloud-native, highly scalable RAG applications.
Responsibilities include designing and managing infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational procedures for delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML products.
The candidate will drive DevOps best practices and collaborate with engineering teams to implement them effectively.
The position requires ownership of the platform's reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across multiple cloud environments and on-premises deployments.
Key tasks include designing and implementing cloud-native architectures for AI/ML applications using Kubernetes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and implementing observability solutions.
The role also involves creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, implementing container orchestration strategies, and establishing SLOs/SLIs.
The candidate will automate operational tasks, mentor team members on DevOps best practices, and collaborate with ML engineers to optimize model deployment and serving infrastructure.
Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in the DevOps/MLOps space is also essential.
Requirements:
The candidate must have 7+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration is required.
Strong experience with a major cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps practices is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Go or Python is required.
The candidate should have experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management is required.
A BS degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Strong problem-solving abilities and systematic thinking are required.
Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $180,000 - $215,000 a year.
