Remote Staff Engineer (m/f/x)

Description:

• CLARK, a leading insurtech company, is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their team in Frankfurt, Berlin, or remotely.
• The role involves leading the system architecture design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving architectural decisions, and optimizing system performance.
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale web applications with Ruby on Rails, proficiency in front-end technologies and frameworks, experience with RESTful APIs and database systems, and strong problem-solving skills.
• The Staff Engineer will participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure high code quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, front-end technologies, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, etc.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills.
