Remote Staff Engineer, Product Matching

Description:

• The Staff Engineer, Product Matching will lead the efforts in building and scaling a Product Catalog Service, Exact Product Matching Service, and Product Search Service for LTK's Creator-Driven Shopping App.
• The role involves de-duplicating and reconciling exact products across retailers to surface them to creators and shoppers.
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of e-commerce and product catalog systems, experience in delivering business value in a high-growth environment, and building highly scalable systems.
• Responsibilities include providing inputs on engineering and operational excellence, identifying new technologies to improve efficiency, and influencing technical direction.
• The position requires working closely with the VP of engineering and other departments to ensure the success of LTK.

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience demonstrating a deep understanding of distributed systems and software development principles, architecture, and best practices.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven leadership skills, ability to lead projects from conception to completion, and mentor and guide engineers.
• Strong technical skills in Golang, Python, Vector Databases, and embedding technologies.
• Experience in designing and building complex systems, architecture, and solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide guidance on technical decisions.
