Remote Staff Engineer (Python)

Description:

• The company is a Digital Product Engineering company that builds products, services, and experiences across all devices and digital mediums.
• They are looking for a Staff Engineer proficient in Python with skills in FHIR HL7 and DICOM.
• The role involves writing complex code, conducting code reviews, and setting coding standards for the team.
• The Staff Engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure requirements are correctly implemented.
• Client communication will involve using Python for the backend and Google Cloud Platform/Terraform/Kubernetes for the infrastructure.
• Domain experience in healthcare & life sciences is highly desired, including knowledge of healthcare standards like DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and medical ontologies (ICD-10, SNOMED, etc.).
• Exposure to DICOM viewers like OHIF/DMV/Weasis is critical for backend engineers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and Terraform.
• Strong skills in FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and healthcare standards.
• Experience in healthcare & life sciences domain.
• Familiarity with DICOM viewers like OHIF/DMV/Weasis.
• Ability to write complex code, conduct code reviews, and set coding standards.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
