The position is for a ML processor bring-up and validation engineer in the System Engineering team.
The role involves tuning model and system parameters, studying sparsity and data statistics in relation to power and temperature, and debugging performance and power bottlenecks in machine learning models.
The successful candidate will gain experience with state-of-the-art ML processor architecture, embedded firmware development, and board design and debug.
This role is remote, primarily based out of Toronto, Canada, or Portland, Oregon, USA.
Requirements:
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with more than 8 years of relevant experience is required.
Candidates must possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Perl are necessary.
A strong understanding of computer architecture and logic design is essential.
Experience in scripting and test automation is required.
A good understanding of circuit design, power regulation, and high-speed signal propagation is needed.
Experience using lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers, and spectrum analyzers is important.
An interest in and understanding of machine learning is preferred.
Superior verbal and written communication skills are required.
The ability to work cross-functionally and drive issues to closure is essential.
