Bellese is a mission-driven Digital Services Company focused on innovative technology solutions in civic healthcare.
The Staff Engineer, Systems Architect will work on the Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) software system used by CMS to measure hospital care quality.
The role involves driving impactful decisions across multiple teams and demonstrating expert-level proficiency in the full technology stack.
Responsibilities include leading technical excellence in complex projects, coordinating team efforts, refining processes, and communicating with client stakeholders.
The position requires maintaining high-level architectural vision, creating architecture diagrams, defining technical standards, and collaborating with Solution and Enterprise Architects.
The engineer will evaluate technology solutions, provide technical oversight, mentor teams, and ensure the system supports continuous delivery and DevOps practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience with government contracting and working with external stakeholders is preferred.
Proficiency in delivering solutions built on AWS and familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework is necessary.
Knowledge of HL7 FHIR and one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Javascript/Typescript, or Python is required.
Familiarity with modern software architecture patterns, diagram tools, CI/CD tools, and Agile development methodologies is essential.
Candidates should be able to operate autonomously and be driven to build a personal roadmap.
