Description:

As a Staff Engineer on the Trustworthy Automation Platform (TAP) team at Vanta, you will be responsible for evolving and scaling the resource ingestion and evidence generation systems and surfaces at the core of the company's business.
Your work will focus on accelerating product development and ensuring a consistent customer experience across all customer segments.
You will identify, scope, and lead large technical projects to lay the groundwork for core products to evolve into highly performant, reliable, and customizable systems.
Design, develop, and own new product functionality and infrastructure using modern frameworks and tooling such as TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Make effective tradeoffs considering business priorities, user experience, and technical foundation sustainability.
Act as a cultural beacon by setting an example for effective, collaborative engineering and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

At least 10 years of industry experience as a software engineer.
Experience serving as a technical lead for large projects, defining roadmaps for complex projects spanning multiple teams and functions.
Leadership experience in data pipeline teams and projects.
Proven track record of building successful SaaS products for both startup and enterprise users.
Ability to mentor and lead teams of engineers by example.
Experience working in rapidly scaling startups and large companies, particularly in environments that prioritize a bias for action.
