Description:

The Staff Front-End Engineer position at #paid involves working as part of a team to plan, design, and ship small-to-medium scale applications.
The role requires collaborating with Product Managers and Software Developers to define the roadmap for features and tools.
Responsibilities include participating in 2-week time-boxed sprints with daily standups and communicating effectively with the team using productivity tools like Slack, Notion, and GitHub.
The Staff Front-End Engineer will champion documentation and knowledge sharing, contribute to the design of scalable software platforms, and analyze and troubleshoot production issues promptly.
Additionally, the role involves assisting developers with their tasks, contributing to documentation, and ensuring the highest quality of service for customers.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should live and work within 3 hours of Eastern Standard Time.
They should have a proven track record of excelling in a team-based, collaborative environment.
Senior-level knowledge of front-end development, including ES2019 JavaScript, React, and CSS, is required.
Proficiency in React and key React patterns and libraries, as well as client-side tooling like Webpack, Storybook, and testing libraries (Tap and Jest), is essential.
Experience in mentoring junior team members, maintaining code quality, and providing constructive feedback is necessary.
Eligibility for full-time employment in Canada is a must.
