Description:

  • The Staff Front-End Engineer position at Nerdy is a full-time remote opportunity based in North America.
  • The role involves working with a collaborative team to drive the technology of learning products and platforms.
  • The Staff Engineer will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and play a key role in shaping the vision of complex systems.
  • The Acquisition team is responsible for the website, requiring experience in handling large-scale websites for high-traffic companies.
  • The position involves implementing best practices, creating highly performant and extensible technology, and collaborating with Product and Design teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex systems.
  • Proficiency in modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
  • Strong expertise in web technologies, especially React/Next.js, with a willingness to learn new stacks.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-facing solutions that meet customers' needs.
