Description:
The Staff Front-End Engineer position is for a Full-Time Contractor based in South America to work remotely from Costa Rica.
The role involves collaborating with Product and Design teams to develop learning products and platforms.
Engineers at Nerdy actively participate in discussions on system and solution development.
The position requires architecting scalable software solutions, implementing best practices, and creating high-performing technology.
The Staff Front-End Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and contribute to shaping the vision of the system.
The role focuses on enhancing the experience for tutors and optimizing the tutor-supply chain.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience working on complex systems.
Strong experience with React and Typescript is preferred.
Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CD/CI workflows for Front End services.
In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.
Experience with AWS and the ability to learn new technology stacks quickly.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to code, review others' code, and implement customer-facing solutions.
